RECERTIFICATION
CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION

Those passing the exam will receive a certificate which is valid for three years. Recertification may be achieved through the accumulation of continuing legal education and activities in civil litigation, ethics, and general legal education.

A total of 25 hours must be accumulated over the three-year period as follows:

  • 10 hours of substantive CLE in the specialty area
  • 10 hours of general legal education
  • 5 hours of ethics

If you do not recertify, you will not lose your certification. However, your certification will not be current with educational standards and will be reported as such to anyone inquiring about your certification status.
