An applicant must meet one of the following qualifications:

• NALS PLS...the advanced certification for legal professionals

• NALS Professional Paralegal Certification (PP)

• NALA Legal Assistant/Paralegal Certification (CLA or CP)

• Seven (7) years of legal experience

• Five (5) years of legal experience of which two (2) of the last five (5) years must have been in the designated specialty area.

• Three (3) years of legal experience in the designated specialty area, plus one of the following: (a) an associate’s degree or higher degree (attach a copy of degree certificate) or (b) twenty (20) hours of legal education
